The process runs online through the university's admission portal. Candidates register, enter their national test score or qualifying degree details, pay the prescribed fee, fill and lock preferences of institute and specialisation, and are then allotted seats through successive rounds based on a merit list prepared under the announced order of priority, which normally places valid national scorers ahead of others. Allotted candidates report to the institute, complete document verification and pay the fee, and may be considered for upgradation in a later round. Seats covered include
master of technology specialisations in disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science and their branches, together with
master of architecture and, in some cycles, master of planning, at the university's constituent and affiliated engineering and architecture colleges. Reservation rules of the Rajasthan government apply, and sponsored or part-time categories may be handled under separate provisions stated in the notification.
