Applicants must hold, or be in the final year of, a bachelor or master degree in a subject relevant to the stream chosen, with the acceptable degree combinations for each stream set out in the official admissions notification. Integrated PhD entry is generally open to bachelor degree holders in science or engineering, while direct PhD entry usually expects a master degree, and the notification specifies which engineering, medical and other professional degrees are treated as equivalent.
