Which should I choose, MNNIT Allahabad CSE or DTU SE?

MNNIT Allahabad offers good CSE. In terms of opportunities, MNNIT CSE is at par with top NITs (and even some IITs). As for course curriculum and faculty, these are almost equally good at all top engineering colleges. During 2023 placements, the highest package for CSE at MNNIT was 1.35 CPA, and the average package was 27.57 LPA. SE is comparatively easier than CSE or IT, but it offers similar placement opportunities to its students. SE students are eligible for companies seeking CSE/IT students. Both the colleges are highly reputed, and you can choose either of them for your B.Tech studies.

Is there a swimming pool facility at MNNIT Allahabad?

Though there is a swimming pool structure at MNNIT Allahabad, it has not been in use since the 90s. By the time I graduated from MNNIT in 2010, it was in complete ruins. Numerous rumors have been circulating for a long time about its past. One of them is that a student drowned in the pool, and hence, it was closed. It is not a usable state, but even if it were, there are other problems as well. The pool is near the boys' hostels, and is easily visible from there, so it is impossible to open it for girl students. Also, it is located near a railway bridge crossing the MNNIT campus, so outsiders from above can view the students taking a bath in it. Thus, one can say that there is no practically usable pool at MNNIT Allahabad at present.

What do MNNIT Allahabad students think of HBTU Kanpur?

According to me, this question crossed your mind because you got an admission into HBTU Kanpur, and want acceptance from the students of MNNIT Allahabad. If this is true, I would suggest you go ahead with HBTU Kanpur. It is at par with MNNIT in terms of academics. The placement scenario is brighter at MNNIT, but the packages are almost the same for both the colleges. In terms of exposure, surely MNNIT Allahabad is way ahead. Try to work hard and grab a good placement package from HBTU. You are at a very crucial stage of your life, make sure to spend your time enhancing your skills, and stop worrying about the college tag.
