About this Scholarship
Bharathidasan University, a NAAC accredited institution, invites applications for M.Phil Regular (Full-Time / Part-Time) Programmes in University Departments and Affiliated / Autonomous Colleges for the academic year 2016-2017.
Application forms and prospectuses can be obtained from the Registrar, Bharathidasan University, Palkalaiperur, Tiruchirappalli-620 024, by sending a requisition with a Demand Draft for Rs.500/-(Rupees Five hundred only) / Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) for SC/ ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of an attested copy of the Community Certificate.
The Demand Draft must be drawn in any Nationalized Bank in favour of “BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI” on or after 25.06.2016. Name and address of the applicant and the programme applied for should be mentioned on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
Application forms and prospectuses can also be downloaded from the University Website: www.bdu.ac.in. Downloaded Applications should be submitted with a Demand Draft for the amount mentioned above (whichever the case is necessary). For paying through online visit www.bdu.ac.in/online-payment and enclose the online receipt along with the application form.
The last date for issue and receipt of filled-in Application Form is 19.08.2016. The University reserves the right to suspend any of the above Programmes, if the circumstances so warrant.

Eligibility criteria for M.Phil programmes include:
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
- Qualifying marks in the entrance test conducted by the University.
- Other eligibility criteria as specified by the University.
