About this Scholarship
The Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA) scholarship supports socially and economically disadvantaged Indian students pursuing undergraduate studies at any recognized Indian university or institution. Sponsored by the Ford Foundation, the scholarship helps cover tuition fees, maintenance allowance, hostel or mess charges, and additional allowances for travel, clothing, and books. The support is renewable annually for up to five years, subject to consistent academic performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian nationals currently in Class 12 or recently passed Class 12. They should belong to socially and economically disadvantaged groups such as SC, ST, OBC, EBC, DNT, or other marginalized communities. Income criteria apply, and selection is based on academic merit and financial need.
Preference may be given to students from rural or underrepresented backgrounds.
