The Indian Maritime University-Admission to Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) is a diploma-level program designed for candidates sponsored by shipping companies. Admission is based on a Computer-based Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Indian Maritime University (IMU).
The test is held in designated cities across India to assess candidates' aptitude for nautical science and maritime operations.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be sponsored by a shipping company. They should be at least 17 years old. Applicants must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be core subjects in the qualifying examination. Physical fitness and medical standards as prescribed by the Directorate General of Shipping are also required.
