The International Leadership in Education Program (ILEP) is a six-month professional development scholarship for secondary-level school teachers in South India. It brings selected teachers to the United States to enhance subject expertise, teaching skills, and cross-cultural understanding. The program focuses on educators teaching English, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the union territories of South India.
Participants also engage with teachers from Near East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia to foster global collaboration and leadership in education.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to secondary-level school teachers teaching English, Social Studies, Mathematics, or Science. Applicants must be Indian nationals currently employed in schools located in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, or the union territories of South India. Teachers from all income groups and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
