Eligibility
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from the Punjab School Education Board or any other recognised board are eligible to apply. The stream normally required is arts or humanities, but students from any stream may apply provided they meet the qualifying marks set out in the college’s annual admission notification. There is no entrance test. Candidates should confirm their eligibility and the application process in the official admission brochure issued by Dev Samaj College for Women, Firozpur.
About Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.}
This is a three-year honours degree programme in the arts stream offered by Dev Samaj College for Women in Firozpur. Students study a range of humanities and social-science disciplines, including English literature, Punjabi literature, history, political science, economics, sociology and psychology. The curriculum is structured around core papers, discipline-specific electives and generic electives, with an emphasis on critical reading, research projects and communication skills. Assessment is continuous and end-of-semester. Graduates typically go on to careers in teaching, civil services, media, social work, corporate communications or further study in law or postgraduate arts programmes.
