Candidates appear through a school affiliated to or recognised by the board, and must be regularly enrolled in the class concerned, having been promoted from the previous class and registered with the board within the prescribed period. The school submits the examination form and the prescribed fee, so registration particulars and subject entries must be checked through the school before the deadline. Attendance and internal assessment requirements set by the board must be met, and relaxation is granted only under its own rules. Separate provisions apply to private candidates, to students repeating the examination and to compartment or improvement candidates, and these, along with the applicable fee and any age related condition, are stated in the official notification issued by the board for the session concerned.
