Overview
Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning (GCAP) is the first architecture college in Assam and the North East Region. It was founded by Dona Foundation in 2006.
The college is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University. It is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi, the Institute of Town Planners, India, and the Higher and Technical Education department of the Government of Assam.
Rankings
GCAP has been ranked 2nd in the eastern region with an All India Rank of 21. In 2020, the Times of India ranked GCAP 22nd among top architecture colleges in India.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects are eligible for admission to the B. Arch course. Candidates who have passed a Diploma exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subject are also eligible.
Admission to B. Arch is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and other prescribed criteria.
