Eligibility
Candidates must have completed an MBBS degree from a recognized university and completed the required internship. Admission is based on performance in the NEET-PG entrance examination. The minimum qualifying marks are as set out in the college’s annual admission notification. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Pondicherry is a three-year, full-time postgraduate degree. Students study advanced clinical and theoretical aspects of their chosen medical specialty, including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and community medicine. The program combines classroom instruction, laboratory work, and hands-on clinical training in PIMS’s affiliated hospitals.
