TANCA-2009 is the Tamil Nadu Common Admissions process for postgraduate engineering and architecture degree programmes. It is for students seeking admission to M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., or M.Plan. courses in Tamil Nadu. The admissions are conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu for the academic year.
Eligible candidates can apply for seats in University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Trichy, Anna University Tirunelveli, Government and Government Aided Institutions, as well as seats surrendered by Self Financing Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, or Planning from a recognized university. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC/DNC, EBC, or PwD categories may apply. There is no upper age limit.
Selection is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the entrance test, if applicable.
