About this Scholarship
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Human Resource Development Group (CSIR-HRDG) conducts the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) twice a year. This national-level examination is for Indian students seeking admission to PhD programs or eligibility for college and university teaching positions in science and engineering disciplines. The test is held in six subject areas: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Engineering Sciences.
