About this Scholarship
The Dr.Shamanur Shivashankarappa Janakalyan Trust Scholarship Program 2026 supports financially constrained but meritorious students in Karnataka so they can continue higher education without interruption. The trust gives grants for regular, full-time courses at every level—from Pre-University Courses through postgraduate degrees—across fields such as Engineering, Medicine, Management, Law, Nursing and Dental Sciences. Awards are decided solely on academic merit and documented financial need; no other criteria are considered.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to Indian citizens who are Karnataka domiciles. Applicants must be enrolled in or applying to a regular, full-time course at any level (PUC, diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate). They should belong to economically weaker sections (income ceiling as per trust norms) and have consistently strong academic records.
Priority is given to SC, ST, OBC, EBC, EWS, DNT and PwD categories, but all meritorious applicants facing financial hardship may apply.
