About this Scholarship
The Admission to AERB sponsored M. Tech Programme offers seats at IIT Bombay for postgraduate students in Energy Systems Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. This programme is funded by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) Scheme, which supports research in energy and nuclear safety.
Selected candidates receive a monthly stipend and a one-time education allowance. Upon completion, they are absorbed as Scientific Officer C and must serve AERB for three years through a bond agreement.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) for General/OBC/EWS categories. SC/ST/PwD candidates require 55% marks. The scheme is open to Indian nationals only.
Selection is based on academic merit and an interview conducted by IIT Bombay.
