General Hospital and Post Graduate Institute – Puducherry is open to medical graduates who have completed the Primary Examination (Part-I) in DNB, PG Diploma, or MS Degree. This program offers 3-year or 2-year Part-II DNB training in disciplines such as General Surgery, General Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Family Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and super-specialties like Paediatric Surgery and Urology. Selected DNB trainees receive a stipend as per the guidelines of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, ensuring financial support during training.
