Eligibility Criteria

As an admission notice, the conditions are entry conditions for the doctoral programme rather than scholarship criteria. Candidates are generally expected to hold a master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, technology, science, humanities or management, with the minimum marks or grade the institute prescribes, and in many departments a valid national level test score is considered. Admission usually depends on a written test and an interview conducted by the department, on the availability of research supervisors and on the mode of registration, whether full time, part time or sponsored.

The requirements for a given session are listed in the institute's admission announcement.

How to Apply

Candidates should follow the instructions published on the National Institute of Technology, Warangal website for the doctoral admission session that is currently announced. In earlier sessions applicants completed the prescribed form, marked the envelope with the programme and session applied for, attached the required certificates and a demand draft towards the registration fee drawn in favour of the director of the institute, and sent the set to the academic office so that it arrived by the announced closing date. Shortlisted candidates were then called for a written test and interview.

The institute publishes its current application route and payment method online, which should be checked before applying.
