The Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF supports wards of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) personnel pursuing professional degree courses in India. It covers recognized undergraduate programs such as BE, B.Tech, MBBS, BDS, BEd, BPharma, MCA, and others approved by bodies like AICTE, MCI, UGC, or NCTE. Master’s degrees are excluded except for MBA and MCA.
The scheme does not fund distance learning or studies abroad.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to wards of serving or retired RPF/RPSF personnel. Applicants must be pursuing first professional degree courses (not distance mode) in recognized Indian institutions. There are no income or percentage criteria specified.
Priority is given to certain categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EBC, EWS, PwD, and DNT as per government norms.
