Gannon University proudly congratulates alumna Jamie R. Schumacher '11 on being named to the Erie Reader's 40 Under 40 Class of 2026, a recognition honoring emerging leaders who are making a lasting impact throughout the Erie community. The annual list celebrates individuals whose leadership, service and professional achievements are helping shape the region's future.

Schumacher has built an accomplished legal career while remaining deeply committed to the community she has long called home. As a partner at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton LLP and the 2026 president of the Erie County Bar Association, she is helping advance the legal profession while strengthening connections throughout Erie.

For Schumacher, her time at Gannon laid the foundation for both her career and her commitment to serving the Erie community.

"My time at Gannon was instrumental to confirm my desire to pursue a legal career and to return to practice in the Erie community," Schumacher said.

Her recognition reflects Gannon's mission of preparing graduates to lead with excellence, integrity and service. Through her work in the legal profession and her leadership within the Erie County Bar Association, Schumacher continues to make a meaningful difference for the region while embodying the values she developed as a Golden Knight.
