The Fall 2026 first-year Regular Decision application and materials deadline has been extended to February 1, 2026.

I am a first-year student because I can answer "yes" to at least one of the following statements:

I plan to enter the SBU in the fall or spring after graduating from high school.

I have never received college credit since leaving high school, regardless of my age or whether I ever graduated. (Taking courses during the summer term immediately following high school graduation does not make you a transfer student.)

I’m an international student as I will have a F-1 student visa or have another type of temporary, non-immigrant visa.

I have a Bachelor's degree but want to pursue another Bachelor's degree at Stony Brook.

I am a previous undergraduate student that enrolled and completed credits at Stony Brook and would like to return to complete a degree.

I would like to take courses at Stony Brook in the fall or spring but will not be pursuing a Stony Brook degree. More Info for Non-Matric Students
