History
While the institute was officially founded in 1965, its roots go back to the 1920s, when Uni Colorado began offering courses across Colorado Springs. For the first time in 1978, more women registered at UCCS than men. In 1990, it became a full member of the NCAA Division II. In 2001, the School of Education was renamed to the College of Education.
