History
Western New England University was founded in 1919 with the aim to offer part-time educational opportunities to students in the fields of Law, Business, and Accounting. The University’s campus on Wilbraham was purchased in 1956 and the Emerson Hall was inaugurated in 1959. The Western New England University was primarily known as the Western New England College and officially became Western New England University on July 1, 2011. The university also introduced four schools namely, Arts and Sciences, Business. Engineering, and Pharmacy.
