About this Scholarship
The Africa Initiative Graduate Research Grant supports Indian students enrolled in Master’s or PhD programs at select African universities to conduct short-term research placements at Canadian institutions. The grant covers full tuition and living expenses for up to four months of research in thematic areas such as conflict resolution, energy, food security, health, migration, and climate change. Eligibility Criteria
Open to Indian students currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program at recognized African universities. Applicants must be from specified African countries including Botswana, South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt, Benin, Senegal, Morocco, and Nigeria. There are no additional income or mark-based conditions; selection is based on academic merit and alignment with the program’s research themes.
