The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic funds short-term study and research stays in Slovakia for international PhD students. The programme was set up by the Slovak government in 2005 to bring researchers, artists and university teachers from partner countries to Slovak institutions for up to one academic year. Mobility grants cover living costs and travel, enabling scholars to work on their dissertations or collaborate with local supervisors.

Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme at an accredited university outside Slovakia. Citizens of EU/EEA countries or countries with which Slovakia has a bilateral agreement are eligible.
