About this Scholarship
The International Sustainability Academy (ISA) Scholarships support young professionals and students from India and around the world to collaborate on sustainability research in Hamburg. The program brings together 12 participants for a 9-month initiative that combines an 8-month research stay in Hamburg with a one-month follow-up period in their home country. The focus is on advancing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through shared knowledge and individual research projects.
Participants work closely to exchange expertise while developing solutions for global challenges.

Open to Indian students and young professionals at all study levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and early-career researchers. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability and relevant academic or professional experience. There are no strict income or marks thresholds, but candidates must show how their work aligns with the SDGs.
Preference may be given to applicants with research proposals addressing climate action, clean energy, or circular economies.
