• Housing options at TU Ilmenau include apartments with 1 to 4 rooms at the International Meeting Centre (IBZ), based right at the border of the campus and the Helios main building, around 1.5 kms away from the campus. Students can apply for housing via the Studierendenwerk Thuringen Housing Portal.
• The on-campus canteen, Mensa Ehrenberg serves standard European and German dishes, along with coffee, sandwiches, and other snacks. Indian food is generally very limited on campus. Most Indian students prefer to cook on their own or look for Indian restaurants nearby like Sharma's Indisches Restaurant (Butter Chicken, Daal Chawal) and Pizzeria & Restaurant Namaste (Kebab, Aloo Gobhi, Daal Maharani, and Shahi Paneer). Average meal costs around EUR 15-25 (INR 1.7 K-2.8 K).
