Minimum English language proficiency requirements for international applicants at University Canada West:
- Undergraduate & Graduate Programs (Standard Entry):
- IELTS Academic: Minimum overall band score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in the Writing component.
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 88, with no subscore below 20.
- PTE Academic: Minimum overall score of 61, with a minimum score of 60 in Writing.
- Duolingo English Test (DET): Minimum overall score of 115.
- UCW University Access Program (UAP Pathway): Applicants who fall slightly below the direct entry requirement (e.g., IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in writing) may be offered conditional admission paired with completion of the UAP English pathway course prior to degree studies.
